Orava can offer many possibilities for its visitors climbing, skiing, water sports, hunting and fishing.

Šútovo waterfall

After pleasure climbing Šútovo valley you will get to this waterfall, which is 38 m high and it is surrounded by the dense forest. The waterfall is a part of natural reservation, which belongs to the area of Malá Fatra National park. Because of the fact that this tour is not very exacting, it is also used by cyclists.

Ostrá and Tupá skala

It is a protected natural creation dominating in the North of village of Vyšný Kubín. It represents an important archeological area because there is finding place of urn graves from the time of the new Lužica culture and bronze artifacts from the younger Bronze Ages.

Choč

1611 m high hill which belongs to the Choč mountains. It is a favourite point of trips for visitors.

The Orava lake

It is an artificial lake which is also well-known as a Orava sea.It is surrounded by the ridges of the Oravská Magura and Skorušínske vrchy in the South and by the state boarding with Poland in the East a North. The lake offers very good conditions for water sports.

Slanica island - Island of art

It is situated at Orava lake and it is the remains of the flooded village Slanica. There is an 18.century church here. In its interior there is a permanent exposition of Slovak folk sculpture and paintings.

Babia hora - the high hest peak of Oravské Beskydy

The border with Poland crosses it. The area of Babia hora was declared as a protected area because of theoccurrence of rare plants. Although the top altitude above sea level is not very high, you can get a view of Poland and to all of Upper Orava from this peak.

Roháče

The natural elements created miniature big mountains from Roháče with all characteristic beauties and specialities. We can enlist here the whole Orava part of The West Tatras, which begin at Ostrý Roháč in the East and they end with Biela Skala in the West. In the North they are borded by Osobitá, in the North West by Podtatranská brázda and in the South by the Liptov part of the West Tatras.You can admire such deep valleys as Studená valley, Roháčska dolina, Smutná dolina and others together with Roháče mountainlakes.Roháče belongs to a protected zone of TANAP.
